Sibylle was born in Germany and moved to San Francisco, California in her early 20s by way of an exchange scholarship from Tuebingen University. In her late 20s, she became an aerial photographer residing in L.A.; where she got her ratings to fly helicopters and airplanes. She has been the owner of Heliphoto since 1992, serving Southern California and beyond with aerial photography.
In the past 5 years she won 3 awards given by PAPA (Professional Aerial Photography Association International) and one honorable mention at the IPA (International Photography Awards). She currently chairs the committee for photographic education & competitions of PAPA.
In 2006 her artistic work was digitally projected at art exhibits at the Caltrans Building, Downtown L.A.: Gallery Gardens & Autumn Lights, at the LA Weekly Detour Festival, at PAPA conventions and at various night/outdoor events like Greensector, Burning Man, Symbiosis. Flying and taking aerial photos is her passion and she continues to explore the world from above, so she can share her unique point of view.
